The line, or the booking page
No contact form and no email address, here or anywhere on this site. Phoning gets you an answer about whether the fault is worth a visit and settles the access question at the same time; the booking page puts you straight into the diary.

Before you call
Have the access answer ready
In this city it is the question that decides the visit. Whatever applies to your building, saying it on the first call saves a wasted trip.
-
Street parking is effectively nil and the stairs are narrow. Parts come up in a bag rather than on a trolley, which is worth knowing before a visit is booked.
-
Driveways and rear entrances make access straightforward. Kitchens moved into former pantries often leave very little clearance on the hinge side.
-
Side driveways and detached houses — the easiest access on this list, and usually a full-size kitchen to work in.
-
Loading dock, freight elevator and a certificate of insurance on file with the building. Booking the lift comes before booking the appliance.

What these repairs actually come to
Flat $95 service call covering the visit and full diagnosis, credited against the repair once you approve it.
Parts and labour together, by job
- Igniter or burner assembly $280 – $630
- Oven thermostat or heating element $250 – $730
- Control board or touch panel $400 – $850
- Dishwasher pump or control $290 – $1,240
- Refrigeration fan or defrost system $300 – $710
- Compressor or sealed-system repair $1,120 – $2,470
Which end of a band a job lands on is what the visit settles. The number you are given before anything is opened is a single figure, not a range.
What decides where inside a band a job lands
-
What failed
A door gasket, a spark module and a compressor are three different orders of job. Naming a number before the fault is found is naming a number at random.
-
Whether the part is current
Parts for current platforms are straightforward. Older units sometimes need a superseded number sourced, which changes both the price and the wait.
-
How it is installed
A dishwasher behind a custom panel and a freestanding range are not the same amount of labour to get at, whatever is wrong inside them.
-
Getting there
Four floors of walk-up stairs or a booked freight elevator is real time. It is quoted honestly rather than hidden in the parts line.
Questions
Answers to the six things asked most
Six answers, all of them checkable.
What does the $95 service call actually buy?
The visit and the full diagnosis: readings taken at the appliance and a plain explanation of what has failed. Approve the repair and the $95 comes off the total.
Do you quote a repair price over the phone?
No, and anyone who does is guessing. The phone call narrows it down — often to two or three candidates — but the number comes after the readings, before anything is opened up.
My building needs a certificate of insurance and a booked elevator.
That is normal in the Seaport and in most of the converted Fort Point buildings. Say so when you call and the paperwork goes to the management office ahead of the visit rather than on the day.
Which Viking appliances do you work on?
Ranges, wall ovens, refrigeration and dishwashers. Sealed-burner and open-burner ranges, dual-fuel and all-gas, professional side-by-sides and integrated columns, and dishwashers behind custom panels.
Is this Viking?
No. This is an independent repair business and it is not affiliated with Viking. Appliances still covered by the manufacturer belong with a factory-authorised provider, which is a different route entirely.
How do I book without phoning?
Through the booking page. There is no contact form on this site and no email address — the phone and the booking link are the only two ways in, on purpose.

Stopped cooling on the fresh side after a long humid week in August. The defrost timer had stuck. He explained the cycle so I actually understood what had happened rather than just handing me a bill.

Fourth floor walk up on Prince Street and the burners kept clicking long after they lit. A cracked igniter lead was shorting the spark module. He swapped the lead and cleaned the caps, and it lights first time now.

Broil element was only glowing at one end. He found corrosion at the terminal block rather than the element itself. Cleaned and replaced the block, which came to far less than I had feared.
